About Ossem

     Awesome Bob has been performing professionally for over 45 years.  He has been the campaign band director for a governor from Alaska, performed for President Johnson, President Nixon and been involved with such historic events as the return of
the captured “Pueblo” ship’s  crew and  the returned “Apollo 12” astronauts.  He has toured around the world with the Navy Band, backing such artists as Nancy Wilson and Bob Hope during his Viet Nam tour where he also acquired five combat stars!

     After the service, he went on to perform from Florida to all the major cities of Alaska.  He headed an 11 piece band in Canada and backed such artist as the Drifters, Coasters, Platters, Little Jimmy Ellidge, Natalie Cole and Percy Sledge.  Repeatedly performing on Nashville Network Television he was a winner of the “You Can Be A  Star” show and backed or performed on stage with such company as Dottie West, Mel MacDaniel, Bill Anderson, Bertie Higgins, Jim Ed Brown and he even did a tour with legendary blues man Sonny Boy Williamson!
